On July 6, 1972, two intrepid research engineers left their jobs at the University of Alberta, mortgaged their houses for business loans, and started Northwest Hydraulic Consultants. 50 years later the company they started remains independent and has grown to over 230 employees in Canada, the USA, and internationally. We’ve spread our wings from Montreal to Vancouver, down to Washington and California, and throughout South and Southeast Asia and Brazil. We have kept our collegial atmosphere and desire to focus on innovative and interesting water resources projects.
