My technical expertise is in hydraulic design and troubleshooting for hydraulic structures like spillways, intakes, conveyance structures, and water treatment systems. I apply both physical and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling extensively to develop effective solutions. My recent project experience includes spillway design and rehabilitation, pump station intake and piping design, water treatment systems, hydroelectric developments, and a variety of river processes associated with sediment transport, navigation, bridge crossings, intakes, and fish passage. I am a member of and educator for the Hydraulic Institute’s Pump Intake Design and Pump Piping Design Committees, and I lead the organizational quality management program for NHC’s BC offices. In my spare time, I enjoy travel and outdoor pursuits like ski touring, camping, sailing, and hiking with my dog.
