Coastal Engineering and Shoreline Protection, Flood Hazard Assessment and Risk Management, Hydrology, Climate Change, and Water Management, River Engineering, Floodplain and Sediment Management
As an Associate and GIS Analyst based in North Vancouver, I develop and apply GIS to NHC’s work in a wide variety of projects, including flood modelling, flood hazard mapping, flood risk studies, hydrology, river and coastal morphology, and watershed and fish habitat assessment. I am responsible for database development, data management and documentation, GIS customization, and manipulation of spatial data for input to numerical hydraulic models. I play a key role in GIS communication and planning company-wide. In recent years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many flood studies in BC and am excited to work with a team that helps set the standard for this work in our region, including incorporation of climate change impacts and consideration of flood risk. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, including my two awesome daughters, and I love riding my bike to work and around Vancouver.
