Since joining NHC in 2001, I have worked mostly in Bangladesh and India on long-term multidisciplinary studies and in implementing water resource projects. My main focus has been developing riverbank protection solutions for the extensive flooding of the Brahmaputra River in Assam and Bangladesh. There, I have pioneered the use of geosynthetics for riverbank and coastal protection. I enjoy my work at NHC because it provides the flexibility, highly qualified people, and opportunity to pursue my personal professional interests in large-scale international flood protection. Off work, I enjoy scuba diving.
