Jaron Brown, PE
Aquatic Habitat Design and Restoration, Physical Hydraulic Modelling, River Engineering, Floodplain and Sediment Management
Jaron is a hydraulic engineer with knowledge in surface water hydraulics and river engineering combined with a multi-disciplinary academic background linking the biological and engineering sciences. His expertise includes open channel hydraulic analyses on projects such as habitat restorations, fish passage through hydraulic structures, and sedimentation studies. Jaron has over a decade of professional experience in fluvial hydraulics, sediment transport, and both physical and numerical modeling. He has worked with a wide range of computer simulation models including HEC-RAS, River2D, SRH2D, and PCSWMM, and also has extensive training and application experience in GIS and AutoCAD Civil3D. Jaron routinely performs bathymetric and topographic surveys, habitat assessments, discharge measurements, and other field work associated with river and floodplain management projects on the rivers and streams of the Pacific Northwest.
